Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced R2R Manager to apply expertise in the R2R Accounting area to lead process improvements through simplification, standardization and automation across all supported units in MEA.
Responsibilities:
- SSC Financial Operations
- Primary Strategic Lead for R2R accounting activities as it relates to period close accounting processes, account reconciliation and financial analysis. Manage R2R reconciliations to timely completion.
- Responsible for close activities including the leading own work and the review of other associates’ work related to R2R accounting, as necessary.
- Development and documentation of standard R2R accounting tasks, liaising with business units for implementation and deployment.
Provide functional advice or training to others. - Review complex R2R related journal entries in support of period end close activities.
- Functional expert for R2R general accounting systems and processes.
- Process Improvements; Make recommendations on continuous improvement of established processes and procedures and design new processes to ensure that internal control requirements are met. Ensure compliance to current Process and Control Standards (PACS).
- Business Improvement; Recommend and drive changes or improvements to business practices as they relate to technical accounting to ensure the overall efficiency of the department.
2. Manage Accounting Processes
- Organize work activities and resources for team members in order to comply with necessary financial activities related to general accounting and period close process.
- Facilitate communications across departments/units to build strong collaborative relationships and ensure service levels and metrics are met and exceeded.
- Support Finance Transformation and digital initiatives as required.
3. People Leadership
- Manage all R2R staff, including hiring, training, distribution of workload, coaching and organization structure to ensure development of associates.
- Manage and develop highly engaged Finance associates through proper performance and development discussions, follow-up sessions, and continual training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree accounting/finance or business required; CPA preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in accounting & finance, including significant experience in financial processes and controls.
- Advanced knowledge of Financial Accounting and reporting, including P&L, B/S, Source and Use of Cash required
- Demonstrated success in financial process implementation, transformation or continuous improvement.
- Strong people skills and be an agile thinker
- Excellent track record in building effective teams and developing direct reports, especially with strong functional/technical requirements
