Manufacturing

As a manufacturing manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporate organization-wide operation regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into the manufacturing process. Also, a manufacturing manager monitors production metrics, responds to them, and resolves problems.

Strategy and Development:

    1. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
    2. Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.

    General and Task Management:

    1. Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
    2. Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are always maintained.
    3. Ensure the target productivity level is achieved daily.
    4. Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis
    5. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
    6. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.

    People Management:

    1. Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability.
    2. Manage, coach, and develop a high performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
    3. Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
    4. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.

    Demand Planning:

    • Supervise demand planning team in demand management activities.
    • Oversee daily activities of the team and provide guidance as needed.
    • Work with management, inventory, supply chain and sales teams in demand planning operations.
    • Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
    • Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Assist in developing annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
    • Maintain training materials and organize trainings to team members.
    • Follow and enforce company rules and regulations.
    • Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management.
    • Schedule forecast review meetings with management on regular basis.
    • Maintain demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Work with team to plan, coordinate and execute demand planning activities.
    • Update forecasts for new products, seasonal products, discounts, promotions.

    Supply Planning:

    • Anticipate and maintain stock levels to ensure the business runs smoothly.
    • Assess the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business.
    • Count and track inventory across multiple warehouses.
    • Anticipate stock demands based on current and future business functions.
    • Analyze and anticipate market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
